FOLK FUSION:  MuZette -- Tom & Laurie's duo -- just flute & cello (sometimes acoustic, sometimes electric). Musically, Tom & Laurie have developed a unique style over the past 18 years that fuses elements of classical, folk & jazz music into a new sound they call "Folk Fusion."  Tom's background is in jazz, Laurie's in classical music -- celtic music was their common meeting ground. These roots sprouted in many directions, staying true to the roots of each genre while blending elements of each.  Their influences include Norman & Nancy Blake, Yo Yo Ma, Mark O'Connor, Edgar Myer, Van Morrison, Jethro Tull, JS Bach, Miles Davis, and more...

JAZZ:  Nine recordings available by this imaginative jazz band!  Jazz, on flute, cello, piano, guitar, drums ... "Vigorous, steely playing" Downbeat Magazine ... 2011 CD by TRP "Evening in Vermont" available at Rhombus Records!  TRP (The Reese Project) has taken jazz & classical crossover to a new level with "Bach, Bolling & Bop!" -- a program which features two works of Claude Bolling.  The Suite #1 for Flute & Jazz Piano trio AND the Suite for Cello & Jazz Piano Trio highlight the talents of Tom & Laurie Reese, pianist Tish Brown, bassist Keith Mohler, and drummer Dave Young.  "This band's sound is both airy & gritty which gives it a unique identity."
