Featured CD for February

The featured CD for February is TRP (The Reese Project)‘s “Comin’ Home Baby“! This CD is basically a tribute to funky flutist Herbie Mann, featuring funky jazz, blues, and soulful renditions of the beautiful Irish hymn, “Be Thou My Vision” and Hoagy Carmichael’s “Skylark”. Herbie Mann tunes include Toot Stick, Push Push Pull, and Memphis Underground. Other tunes include Comin’ Home Baby, the Baby Elephant Walk, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and Harlem Nocturne. Also available from VectorDisc Records on CDBaby.com.

Flute, cello, piano and drums never sounded so hot and so cool! Players include Tom Reese (flute, alto flute, penny whistle), Kirk Reese (piano, electric piano, synthesizer), Laurie Haines Reese (cello, electric cello), Glenn Ferracone (drums, percussion).

TRP (The Reese Project)
