The simplicity of a folk song amplifies its beauty and puts focus on its timeless message.  In this complex, untidy era the clear voices of the people, living and dead, inform and chide us through the art of song. These tunes were selected as favorites of the friends I've met along thte way in my travels.  Each selection here holds a special meaning for someone still out there (you know who you are).
